Early Career Clergy Leadership Cohort

The Early Career Clergy Leadership Cohort is designed fully for clergy in their second through seventh year in pastoral ministry. The goal of the Cohort is to support early career clergy, especially rural and small-member church pastors as they grow in their call to ministry. We do this through: 1:1 coaching, larger Cohort gatherings and retreats, continuing education, topical workshops, spiritual direction, wellness coaching and more.

Research has shown that early career clergy face burnout  and disengagement if not supported and provided witht the necessary tools to promote sustainable and bold ministry. Stepping into that first parish often comes with a bit of uncertainty about what early career clergy can do to support their congregations to be proactive in and deepen their faith and outreach.

The Leadership Cohort seeks to provide early career clergy with somewhere to face the challenges of new ministry, to learn best practices in addressing “hot topic” issues of 21st century ministry, and to deepen, expand, and understand calls to ministry. The Cohort is fully funded for both Cohort clergy as well as Coaches and is offered completely online.

Our next Cohort begins on October 22, 2021. If you are in your 2nd through 7th year in pastoral ministry and interested in participating the Cohort or if you know of someone that would benefit from this , we are hosting two Open Houses:

Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am
